1. Can anyone join?

Yes, anyone over the age of 21, after a short probationary period when you are allowed in as a Guest you have your Membership form displayed on the notice board for 7days, as long as a Member does not have any objections to you joining you are asked to meet with the President and Vice-President when you can formally be invited to become a full Member.

2. What does it cost?

There is a one of payment of £50.00 joining fee and an annual fee of £60.00 per year, which becomes due on the 31st, December each year.

3. Do I become a shareholder?

Yes, by joining you are automatically a shareholder with 1 non-negotiable share in the Club. This share remains the Members unless they resign or pass away.

4. Do you have elections for the Committee?

Once a year we have an election for the Committee, however, you need to have been a Member for 2 years before you can stand for office.

5. Do you have a rulebook?

We do have a rulebook, which is given and explained to you when you join.

6. What about the dress code?

We do not allow jeans, trainers and collarless shirts (t Shirts) after 20.00 hours; this rule applies to Ladies, Gentlemen and their Guests.

7. Once I join do I have to pay to come to the entertainment evenings?

No, once you join neither you or your Partner is required to pay, however, your Guest are asked to pay a nominal amount at the door or by ticket.

8. How much does it cost to play Snooker?

The tables have light meters, which take 20 pence pieces, and this gives you 6 minutes or £2.00 for 1 hour.

9. Do you have snooker competitions I can enter?

Yes we have a number of competitions some handicapped, some of scratch and some doubles.

10. Can my 10-year-old Son play?

We require parental control at all times and the bottom 2 tables can be used for Father and Child, however, should other Members wish to use these tables it is required that the table is asked to be finish.

11. Can I get bar snacks?

We are having a new menu, which will give you a wide variety of bar snacks 7 days per week.

12. Do you have fruit machines?

We have 2 Fruit Machines with a jackpot of £250.00.

13. Can I have a private party in The Club?

No we do not have a separate function room, however, for special Nights such as Birthdays/Anniversaries we can on request fit the event into our entertainment calendar and your Guests welcomed in.

14. Can you cater for these events?

Yes we have an outside caterer and a separate room for the food to be put in.

15. Are drinks expensive?

We don’t think so a pint of Ruddles Traditional Beer is £1.80, Carling Lager £2.15 and a glass of wine £2.50

16. When are you open?

We are open: -

12.00 - 14.30 Monday to Thursday - Evenings 17:30 - 23:00
12.00 – 12.00 Friday
12.00 – 01.00 Saturday
12.00 – 23.00 Sunday

Because access into The Club is by key card you are able to come in from 10.00am until closing 7 days per week.

17. When can I join?

Start the ball rolling by coming to see us when can show you around, if you like what you see fill in the application form. For the right candidate this process should take no longer than 6 weeks.
